Musical Sounds in Nature

I cannot decide if I am a musician because I love nature, or whether I just love being outdoors because I am a musician. Quite truly, there is nothing that can compare to time spent in nature. It soothes the soul, invigorates the body, and reconnects you to what is authentic.
When you need a break or are trying to relax at the end of the day, not all of us are fortunate enough to be able to slip outdoors to listen to musical sounds in nature. Fortunately, there are some quality music videos that bring the experience indoors for your enjoyment. Just listen to the sound of rain from a nice, warm interior!
Just as you can enjoy a downpour from indoors, you can also take a virtual trip to the rain forest. Yep, you can still stay dry! Close your eyes and enjoy these wonderful musical sounds in nature!
By the way, there is nothing more soothing than the sounds of rain in the Pacific Northwest. Take a listen:
Next to rain coming down in soothing sheets, the sound of waves crashing against the shore is very placating. Its no wonder that so many sleep-inducing machines include wind and ocean sounds.
Close your eyes, relax and I dare you not to fall asleep:
Just be still for a few minutes each day. No matter how busy you are, or what is going on in your life, unroll your window, open the front door, go for a walk and let nature in. If you have only 60 seconds in a given day, you can take a few deep breaths and reconnect with your soul.
Certainly you have one minute. Hopefully, a few more than that.
What are your favorite musical sounds in nature? I’d love to hear what you think are the most soothing sounds.

I’ve really enjoyed reading, listening and watching this blog article Marcome – thank you.
I’m particularly interested in the links between music and nature. I often play my lyre in nature and find it helps me feel more connected and harmonised with the trees, birds, sky, rocks etc. I have written a web page about it: http://www.harpconnections.net/Environment.html
On my way home from work yesterday, I played to some cows who were laying down. First of all one looked over, then another got up and watched, then another, then a few more and then some of them started to come closer. The wind also blew through the lyre strings – which sounds really ethereal.
I find music playing in nature to be very enjoyable and healing and it’s lovely to read that others also recognise this simple pleasure.
There’s nothing like Nature to ground us and bring truth to what matters. The calls of Nature are profound and everlasting. Yes, the sounds and beauty of Nature bring music to my soul and hope for the future. The day we connect with Nature, respect her creatures and appreciate her wholeness and beauty, that day man will have evolved to a caring individual.
Thank you, Marcomé, for your unique and talented musical and artistic expressions that connect us to Nature.
My favourite sounds are rainfall, waterfall, birds singing, sounds of night jungle life. Also i have wonderful sounds of dolphings and whales, this is perfect example of ocean underwater life:-)
I totally agree. Nature has it all. She’s my master! I compose my music in the woods nearby my house, that’s my golden pot for ideas, colors, sensations, rhythms.
Also the ideal place may be a wide meadow decorated with sunbeams that seems to be lighted inside of you. If you have a waterfall, small or large, near your home it can inspire you to create new meditative waves:-) wish you to stay in harmony with Nature at any season of the year!!
What a wonderful collection. Thank you.
