Taking responsibility for my consciousness with Eckart Tolle

Taking responsibility for our own consciousness is the sole key to evolve as human beings. That’s the very first thing we have to do in order to change the world in a better way.
I’ve recently enjoyed the work of Eckhart Tolle on awareness and the Power of the Now. I wish to share and expose his wonderful work. Hope you’ll enjoy! Marcomé ♥

Dear Marcome,
Thank you for sharing this video; I so appreciate Eckhart’s ability to get to the heart of the matter! When I was in my 20′s, I was taught to Witness my thoughts, feelings, physical sensations and to begin to break
identification with the character I am playing in this lifetime–to begin to remember my true nature. All these years later, it’s still a discipline I am constantly refining so that I can chose my “response” rather than react in the grip of an unconscious pattern. What I gradually began to notice is that if I think, do or say something which is reactive, my body and feeling state immediately reflect that back to me. One of the best experiences I had was being annoyed with a close friend some years ago. I spoke a bit sharply to her, and immediately my body registered pain and I needed to apologize and clear what had come up with her. This was such a wonderful confirmation that we are One, and that what we do to another affects us; I have never forgotten it. I don’t always have such dramatic examples, but do notice that my body and feelings are always giving me feedback about my inner state. When I am consciously observing (rather than lost in intellectual replay of the past or future) I am at the point of choice, and I love seeing how the world around me reflects my conscious choices. I wrote down one of Eckhart’s questions to further remind me, “What am I generating in this moment?” There are so many of us meeting now on twitter, facebook etc., I continue to hold the vision of an evolved humanity happening right now!
Much Love,
Kathleen
Tks very much Kathleen for your inspiring comment. You’re so right! What do I want to create now is the question for every moment. I’d like to suggest the School of Gods, a book I just read in which I like the approach about humans being creators and needing to not only acknowledge but practice to become more aware of what we want to put out to the world! You’re inspiring sweet Lady! MercixxxMarcomé
Thanks for the book recommendation, Marcome’; will check it out!

I have been really influenced by Eckhart Tolle recently. Changing thinking seems to be the key. I don’t know about you but I find that I think too much when I shouldn’t and not enough when I should, and this gets me into a pickle! Letting go of this mess would be such a relief. It certainly is a process that requires dedication though. Thanks for sharing this :-)
Tks very much Belinda. I agree that if we’re unaware, the brain gets busy with all sorts of thoughts. Becoming conscious is vital to the process of choosing better beliefs system. We are what we think, so we better choose wisely what we feed our brain with! Love and perseverance your way, Marcomé
Thank you for your response Marcome’. That is so true what you said about life being a process more than a goal. My process has been (and still is) a gradual awakening and remembrance to who I Am and Who we all Are (spirit beings living the human experience).
My Life has also been a process of constantly letting go of every false thought that I ever had about myself. When we are born into this human world, we adopt the human (unconscious/unaware) external conditioning that leads us into pain, suffering, self doubt, fear and negative inner beliefs about who we are. We begin to Believe these false thoughts and the whole process of the human experience is to BREAK FREE from this limited belief (unconscious conditioning) and fully “Realize” and embrace who we really ARE Consciously. When we are experiencing life unconsciously, we experience pain and suffering and therefore this becomes our Perception and ultimate Reality. The more we Evolve in our process, the more we “Realize” that we have CONTROL over our thoughts and actions and this is when we begin to Actualize our Best Self. When we FINALLY become Aware of this – we are fully open to receive, welcome and accept God’s Love (Consciously). This doesn’t mean that our human experience will be free of challenges and difficulties, it just means that we are now free to “Choose” our thoughts that will determine how we experience and perceive these challenges. This is when we also begin to FORGIVE ourselves because we know that we are made in Gods Beautiful and Perfect Image. We are free to Accept God because we now fully Accept Ourselves. We are innocent (Childlike) in God’s Image and this is how we Enter Heaven Right Here, Right “NOW” – Fully Deserving, Fully Accepting, Fully Loving and Fully Conscious.
With Love – Gena
I’m glad you bring this out! There’s no possible change without becoming responsible for our own thoughts. We were all born in this world filled with lots of negative and destructive perceptions. One have to become conscious, aware of his inner dialogue or thinking in order to change. I have this habit of listening to my feelings, the negative ones. When I notice I feel anything but ok..I ask myself, ‘What was I just thinking before I felt that way?’. Then I figure if my thinking is growing me, evolving me, helping me or..embodying me from becoming a loving person. I first was introduced to this technique with the book Transform your Life by Louise Hay. A simple book but with a very efficient set of solutions to help you out of your inner misery. Life is so much more! Tks for your inspiring text Gena, we’ll have to do a book! xxMarcomé
Thank you for sharing this Marcome’!!
Each of us are at different levels of consciousness and once we are “AWARE”
that it’s “WITHIN” our Own Personal Power to actually CHOOSE our thought patterns, we then become Consciously RESPONSIBLE for our Actions towards CREATING a Better World and a Better Self (both collectively and individually). When we become CONSCIOUS of this fact, we no longer BLAME outside forces for the current state of our planet or our individual happiness. Once we accept this and take RESPONSIBILITY for this TRUTH we are “NOW” able to Create a “New Earth” and make it a more LOVING place.
Dear Gena, your words are filled with wisdom. I guess one of the toughest thing for me is to welcome my inner ‘child’ who thinks she doesn’t deserve. Sometimes we can identify what we think but we have a hard time welcoming it, in order to heal it and forgive ourselves. For most part of my life I was unconscious and when I was shown the way, I realized how deeply programmed I was with fear and doubt, negative inner beliefs. I’ve been persevering on the path to become responsible, loving, helping and it started with me! I now see life as a process more than a goal, a path back to our inner essence and divine origin. I send you sweet loving waves of gratitude! Marcomé xxx
